BAPTISMS AT ALL SAINTS CHURCH

It is lovely to conduct so many baptisms and we have a wonderful happy service of celebration. Families tend to ask me very similar questions, so I thought I would bring some clarity for you and your children.

The minimum number of Godparents is 3, and they must all be Baptised (Christened). See Church of England website for more information.
Another matter is choosing the date and time.  In Clifton and Southill we offer the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month either during the main service or 12 noon.

There is no cost for baptisms; however, we take a collection during a hymn to help towards the upkeep of the church, heating, lighting costs and its mission. We offer families special time at the end of the service to take photographs around the font or in front of the altar.

Anyone can be baptised at any age, from birth upwards.  There is no set protocol for that. Please contact the wardens or myself should you wish to book a baptism for a child or adult.
